What the Scheme Does (Objective)

  • Construction of new child care centre buildings.
  • Improvement of existing infrastructure where needed.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicable to all urban local bodies (Municipal Corporations, Municipalities, Town Panchayats).
  • Centres must meet basic safety and space standards.

Required Documents

  • Project proposal approved by the state welfare department.
  • Land ownership or lease documents.
  • Detailed budget and cost breakdown.

Important Notes & Guidelines

Guideline 1

Total allocation: ₹51 Crore (₹51 கோடி).

Guideline 2

Beneficiaries: 300 Centres will be constructed.

Guideline 3

Construction is to be completed within the 2026‑27 fiscal year.

This scheme operates strictly via offline physically filed submissions. Applications can be acquired and filed at the following nodal centers:

State Welfare Department – Office of Child Care Programme
District Welfare Offices – Relevant Districts
Office Visit Advice: Always bring duplicates of your identity, address proofs, and recent photographs to avoid return trips.
