Electronic Family Cards (Smart Ration Cards) are the foundational identity document for food security and social welfare in Tamil Nadu. The distribution of smart cards enables biometric-verified allocation of subsidized rice, wheat, sugar, and pulses.
Beyond food grains, the electronic card serves as the master verification gateway for numerous state welfare programs, including monthly financial assistance and festival welfare packages.

- Families residing in Tamil Nadu without an existing active family card.
